The EIPA assesses the proficiency of Educational Interpreters. In 1991, Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska responded to requests for tools that could assess the proficiency of educational interpreters by developing the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment ® (EIPA).

FAQs for the Performance Test
Some basic info:
* The Performance Test costs $275. as of Jan 2010. There can also be a $75. fee per the test administrator.
* It takes around 2 hours to complete. More details are in the FAQs.
* According to the website, you will get your test back "as soon as it is completed." Anyone know how long it takes to get results?
* We are told that the feedback for your EIPA is extensive & very helpful; they analyze your strengths and weaknesses.
* How many times can you take it? How often is it offered?
* What about scoring? What does 4.0 mean? etc.
